This is sad and although i didnt know him personally its still sad when someone who gave so much hope and inspiration to Hawaiis youth passes away…Rest In Paradise Hawaiian!

Breaking News: Andy Irons Passes Away

Sad news has made its way into the Surfer offices this afternoon as we’re hearing confirmed reports that 3X World Champion Andy Irons has passed away.

At this time the cause of death is unknown, although sources inside the family say that he passed away en route from Puerto Rico to his home in Hawaii. The 32 year-old-hawaiian was deemed too ill to travel on his connecting flight from Texas to Hawaii and was grounded there. Unconfirmed reports say that he passed away in his Dallas hotel room.
